I have to agree with this. From my experience I tend to have health issues when I'm out of the saddle for a while too. From April to July of this year, I too was out due to a inguinal hernia surgery. It sucked and thought I was going to go crazy being off of my bike for so long. Once back on, I wasn't the same as before, and even now, I am still not back to where I was before the surgery. I ride 4-5 days a week and it's still a struggle. However, I do see the improvement in my overall condition every week. You're on the right track. Just don't let it get you down if it seems harder than before. Your body and mind will thank you for it.
