i already have added 29 tires and yes i am more off road more than on(didn't know this would happen when i bought the bike,)i have not locked the fork out yet on the trails,i worry about hurting the front wheel since i am at 290-330 lbs,we have lots of roots here and right now most are hidden by the falling leaves so you don't see them in time to adjust and i have hit a few harder than i wanted,i probably have a 1/2 inch or so of travel on level ground and i was was just looking to add some more cushion,i currently have the pre load cranked up to the point its almost locked.

Also my off road skills have alot to improve on,i am sure as i get better i will be able to help the bike more, right now I need all the assistance i can get.

Thanks
