Yes, most probably won't bite. My lab-pit mix is the biggest baby most of the time, and gets his feelings hurt rather easily, especially if your tone of voice implies in the least that you're questioning his decisions at the moment.

However, I also saw him catch and kill a tree rat in about 3 seconds. It was like pulling a trigger when he went- there's no way he was veering off his predetermined course of action once he committed. I imagine most dog bites are like that...
