More mid grade from that era. Miyata, like most of the Japanese manufacturers, dramatically improved their bikes throughout the 1980s. The early 1980s ones tended to be a little basic. For instance, the 1981 bike has steel spokes, high ten steel fork, 27 inch wheels. Still a good bike for sure. Value depends on who is going to do the rehab work. As long as you do the work yourself, nice deal.
