Campagnolo rear changers.

Hello,
Can anyone please explain to me the difference between the Campagnolo Nuovo Record and Record rear changers ? Is one of better quality or operates better than the other, because the secondhand prices vary considerably ?
I am thinking about replacing the Shimano 105 changer on the recently acquired Coppi [Fiorelli] bicycle which contributors kindly identified.
The critical factor is that the rear wheel has an 8 speed cassette but I do have a spare 6 speed one which I could use if necessary.
Can anyone please tell me why some Fiorelli made Coppi frames have Coppi decals and others have only Fiorelli decals ? I would guess that my bicycle dates from the late 1970's - early 1980's. Thank you.
