I was using a "Walmart special" this past summer and fall. Thought it was a decent light until it failed to show the pothole I was about to ride into. No serious damage to the bike, only to my pride. Didn't do much night riding after that. I will definitely be looking for something much brighter and of better quality once I get back out on the road/trails this spring.

I know there are a lot of good quality lights to choose from, so I'll definitely be doing a ton of research first.
