if you are really bugged over that, i dont think you are going to enjoy a ht as much as you would a full-suspension. i would look at the giant trance, if you want a giant. i am not sure how the trails are were you live, but around here we have alot of rocks, roots, and weathers trees on the trails. so i am riding a full-suspension and i love it, i just roll right over the rocks and what-not. it soaks up what small drops i do go down. if you have the funds, i would go with a full-suspension.
