I'd council trying the Magicshines in their original form first. I've seen
the beam shots from the replacement lenses and I'm not sure that they are making the light better. The replacement lenses diffuse the beam
more and the Magicshine is already a floodlight with a reflector that is around 35 degrees. I'd like to see a narrower beam that is more on the order of 12 degrees. I find that the light tends to be rather ineffective for illumination around 30 feet in front of the bike.
A narrower beam would also cut down on any issues that motorists might have with the lights. A wider beam exacerbates the problem.
