This should probably be in the racing sub-forum. Yes, lots of other racers are going; it usually has pretty large fields. I've never been but I hear it's a good race. The promoter, Tobin Behling, has been around a long time and does great work.

Check the sticky threads at the top of the racing forum for newbie tips. Also, www.txbra.org has a calendar and discussion forums if you have specific questions.

Make sure you get there at least an hour before your start time. 90 minutes or even 2 hours won't hurt, since it's your first one. Gotta find a parking place, pee (because everybody has to nervous pee/poo before a race), get registered (forms to fill out and sign, unless you have an annual license and have pre-reg'd on the website), get your number(s), go back to the car and pin 'em on, get it wrong, ask for help, get 'em re-pinned, pee again, get the bike ready, ride around a bit, remember you'll need a water bottle, check the time, say OMG! and go looking for the start line.

Have fun, stay safe.
