They weigh half of the average weight of a hammer. As a Roofer, I'd swing a hammer 10,000 times a day. I lifted almost 2 pounds that many times. Now, if I'm only lifting half that weight, how much difference does that make at the end of the day? Not to mention that it makes a noticeable difference when you've lost a pound of weight off of your tool belt.
Also, the Ti hammer's properties send more of the strike's energy & impact into the nail and not back towards the user's arm. Major shock reduction. Think of it as what a carbon for does to smooth out a road.
