Here is my trusty Trek back in the rotation as a winter bike. I have my homemade studded tires on it and I am planning on riding it to work tomorrow. I like to call it the
Snow Patrol bike. I took it out the day we got a bunch of snow here. It did ok except the thick layers of slush from the wet snow was too much for it. I didn't put it together with that in mind though. It should keep me upright when I go over the patches that aren't cleared off on my ride which was what it was intended to do.
Looks like you have gotten a good deal of snow... it feels more like spring here which makes riding the most treacherous as when you least expect it you might find yourself riding across serious patches of ice.
Find that with the studs the ice is not as much of a pain as the deep slush on the uncleared roads.
