As someone else said, he's just parroting the views of people who listen to him -- which means their minds are already made up, don't confuse 'em with the facts. Yeah, DC survived and even prospered post-Kornholer(!), although there WAS an incident about that same time where an SUV driver knocked a cyclist into a traffic island or something, GOT OUT, and beat on the downed rider.
