It's amazing what you can pretend to cure for people who believe it.

While it's certainly true that some symptoms can be treated by manipulation of joints and muscles - physical therapists do the same thing, the field of chiropractic is based on the idea that a "misaligned" spine causes nerve signals to have trouble traveling from the brain. Many chiropractors believe that they can cure diseases, even cancer, by manipulating your spine. (The founder of the field claimed 95% of all diseases) This is complete and utter bull****.

If you feel comfortable allowing the equivalent of a witch doctor with little real medical training to perform what is essentially physical therapy on you, go right ahead, though. Just be aware that they have seriously injured people before.
