I had an interesting commute yesterday morning... only 5 miles, but 3 were directly into the wind, which frequently gusted to 35mph+nearer the water. Spent a lot of time in second gear, on the flats. Ploddy, ploddy!

At least the wind didn't reverse itself for the return trip!
