In the video it's obvious that the girl has a walking cast, so her foot is past the worst and the danger from exercising it is minimal and indeed, exercise will help the bones knit. So as the apparently only one who rode to school with a cast during childhood, to me what she is doing seems perfectly natural. And no I am not a parent, nor have I ever been one.
