It's a great move, but heed the good advice hereabouts. Even though your wife can work at here own rate, she's still got to sit on the seat probably for longer than she's accustomed and there is a lot of trust involved. Build up gradually and plan stops that she will appreciate (e.g., Starbucks). Do whatever you can to make here comfortable on the bike. Happy tandeming.
