I just posted my '82 730 and one thing I'll say about quality is that the paint job is terrible. I could forgive the messy shorelines on the head tube panel but the metal flake in the paint is very unevenly distributed and the paint is actually lumpy in places (definitely not rust bubbles - BTW). Also surprised that the decals are on top of the clearcoat. However, the paint on my wife's '87 Elance 400T is awesome - amazing really. The metal flake blue finish is so deep. I'd love to have one of my customs painted in the same color but it would cost a ton!
