After that whole debate, I still couldn't make up my mind so at first I thought about defaulting to matte black. But in the end I wanted some red too, so this is what it ended up being. With that said, having seen the "matte" red finish Joe (the builder) put together, I probably should have gone with it all around (looks even better in person). Maybe next time.
