My setup on my
Surly Long Haul Trucker on the front is a
Mavic A719 rim with
DT Swiss Competition 2.0/1.8/2.0 mm 288 mm spokes and a
SON 28 dynamo hub. My loaded bike weight before adding food and water is around 40 kg (including bike and trailer). Works fine for me.
The rear is still the standard
Alex Adventurer 700C 36h rims. The rear hub is as supplied a
Shimano Deore XT FH-M770-S rear hub mated with
DT Swiss 14g stainless steel spokes. All still on the bike.
