DT shifter bike, about 20 years old, grossly overpriced. About $200 over priced.

At that price level, I would expect to get a bike with STI shifting, five years old or newer, with good grade components.

I would spend some time on the web getting educated, and then pounce on a deal when it appears. Deals do not last long enough to get an answer to: "Hey is this a good deal?". Folks like the guy selling this bike will pounce on them, clean them up, and resell them. Nothing wrong with that, its just how it works.

The good news is that pouncers cannot be everywhere at once. In addition, most pouncers need screamin' hot deals, leaving good deals for others (but beating them out of a screamin' hot deal is kind of fun).
