Yeah, I know, but we say the same thing around here. Drink, drink, drink. And make sure some of that drink is electrolytes.
I discovered what a difference electrolytes (e.g. Gatorade) can make on long rides in the heat and humidity last summer. I was able to do several rides of at least 90km in temperatures above 32C with humidity making it feel hotter than 40 without killing myself simply by drinking A LOT of water/Gatorade. Made all the difference in the world. I found eating lots of bananas also made a big difference.
