Ah it's black chrome, is it? I have seen that stuff. Chrome does nor wear it is extremely hard. It may pick up scratches. Is black chrome plating black through0out, or is the black colour a surface treatment of the chrome to make it black?
Let me clarify:
It is black chrome, same treatment as bright chrome, hard and durable.
it is not anodised, painted or coated, which wears off after certain use.
