Years ago, on my evening commute, there was a major accident on the interstate that closed all but one lane. Some genius decided it would be a good idea to follow an ambulance up the shoulder to bypass the logjam this created. When he got to the scene of the accident, the State Trooper directing traffic firmly instructed him to move aside and await further instruction. I don't know how long he got to sit in this spot of honor while the other traffic filtered by, but he was there for the 5 or 10 minutes it took me to pass by.
I wonder if he got a special citation from the Trooper in recognition of his expoit.
