Those are both the same ride. Up the front of GMR, down "little GMR" to the east fork, east fork to 39, and 39 back to foothill. There's a 2 mile difference, probably due to where the mapper started on Sierra Madre for the route on mapmyride.

It's a pretty easy ride if you've got your climbing legs. If you want more distance and elevation, you can go up to Baldy Village (up Glendora Ridge Road) or up to Crystal Lake (up highway 39). the easist place to start is Encanto Park, which shows on the mapmyride map. There's a bike path that you can take to get over to Sierra Madre without taking Foothill, and that you can pick up again coming down 39.
