There isn't enough time for all the hiking, backpacking, and climbing I want to do this year. But I've been doing a pretty good job so far of riding in new places.

Awesome! That means you'll have no car traffic to worry about. Best kind of riding. Although you may need to walk/carry your bike around the gate.

I'm not sure if you're serious, but I'd put it at 65/35 that you're being silly here. Everybody likes to make fun of and look down on road cyclists.
