STP FINISHED!!! It was a lot of fun. This morning we started in Vader and rode the remaining 75 miles to Portland. After we stopped in St Helens, my butt was really sore, but after a few minutes back in the saddle it got a little better. I think today had easier miles with no major hills, but they were sort of crappy miles on a major highway with lots of vehicle traffic. The food stops weren't nearly as crowded today, probably because we left early and started further along than most riders. Our pace today was a bit faster than yesterday and we finished at an average of 16.2 mph. Also, to this point, all my organized rides have had very disappointing finish lines, but it was very cool today to ride past a mile of people cheering and clapping and high fiving riders to get to the finish and have an announcer call out my number to a big crowd. It was very cool! I had a great time and I'm already thinking I'd like to try it in 1 day next year!
