I have a 7 and 2 (14 gear) shimano sti exage crank setup, it uses biopace... is biopace still out there? The real question is, can I fit a 10 and 2 shimano 105 or ultegra set on there? What's chromoly...steele or aluminum? Where is the big difference between 105 and ultegra anyway? Have bottom brackets changed in size since then? I would appreciate your reply's
Cromo is steel. No issue spreading the stays to take a wider hub. Biopace is out of print. The rings still are available on ebay.Assuming you have english or Italian threading on the BB, no issues. You can fit anything you want on there. All it takes is money. There is no 10 speed 105 yet.
