Hello, thanks for this information which I have already seen. Cicli S. Bedonni's premises were in the Via G. Petroni, Bologna and I know that he was manufacturing frames / complete bicycles until the mid 1950's at least.
Of course he assembled components [or so we are told], like many other small companies who didn't manufacture their own lugs, bottom bracket shells and fork crowns etc.
Knowing how the amateur / semi-professional "local" racing teams operated in that period, it is quite possible that he bought-in frames to order, often with special requirements; team colour paintwork etc.
It is known that at least one very prestigious Italian manufacturer produced "bare frames" for such small companies.
The mystery deepens.
