First Crash!
Just had my first crash. Weird how it happened. I was on my usual 10 mile loop when the front wheel locked up and I did an endo. With the help of a passing cyclist I assessed the damage to me cut on the chin, small abrasion on right arm ,right shoulder hurts and right ankle. What happened was the bead of the tire, Specialized Nimbus ,was defective. The rubber looks like a casting defect (photos to follow) and the tire bead in a 4 inch area popped from the rim locking the front wheel on the brake. Then I went for a ride.
