This was in my town (Well, close enough. I live in Redlands which is adjacent to Loma Linda.). It's been the somber subject of conversation amongst any gathering of cyclists, locally, since it happened. I didn't know him, but if it's who I'm thinking of, I think I may have met him before, I think he was generally referred to by the name "Alex".

Friend of mine at a local shop recently built up his new tri-bike that he was apparently pretty excited about (Who *isn't* excited about a new bike?).

Completely senseless. The story I got from talking to a few people is that it was probably a right hook by the truck driver.
