Like everyone else, I've seen a ton of the usual stuff - busted pedal pieces, reflector chips (usually from the sides of pedals), chunks of hand grip ends, water bottles, gloves, whole or trashed walkmans and cycling computers, and assorted litter. From time to time I come across something very unusual like:

- 3 late 1800's era Indian Head cents in a dusty little pile at the tip-top of a steep hill.

- A (193_?) Buffalo Nickel stuck half-way into the end of a fence post made from a tree limb.

- A 1927 silver dollar right on the trail (I looked down at a silver glint as I flew by. My instincts told me to stop and take a look; it's amazing I found it again).

Of course, my main thought with the coins is 'where did they come from?'.

What kind of unusual, whacky, or otherwise interesting 'stuff' have you found on your rides?
