The deals I talk about are for the 42-622 size. As a 29er tire user, this size scares me a little for being on the small side. Have they much less volume than, lets say, a regular 2.0/2.1 29er tire? Is their size restrictive for some happier singletrack riding?
I can get the wire or the folding version. What are the differences between them besides the construction method? Is the price difference really worth?

I have the Marathon Dureme in a 700x42 size and the Schwalbe Smart Sam in the 700x47 size. Both are smaller than a true 29er tire and will require higher air pressure over most conditions. However, the tire should do very well on firmer single track.
