The Lezyne light has about the same brightness and run time, but uses standard 18650 rechargeable batteries -- so you can carry spare batteries to extend the run time. This is a real advantage if you need to use your headlight more than 2 hours between charges. My round-trip commute time is 2 to 2.5 hours so I have to charge my Urban 500 every day, even running it on the medium setting (250 lumens). On high, my Urban 500 will hold a charge long enough for one leg of my commute. With the Lezyne, I could carry spare batteries and not have to recharge as often. This could be a huge issue with cyclists that have even longer commute times or randonneurs and other distance riders.

A proper high lumens light should yield 3 to 5 hours before a charge is needed.
