I have a small one designed for jewelry and it does well, for an experiment. When cleaning used chain for crafts, I use Super Clean De-greaser(purple bottle/jug) in water(much more water than de-greaser, but I'm going for a clean-but-well-used look), which seems to do wonders, as long as there is not too much sludge in the bottom of the tank. I have also found that having warm/hot solution helps tremendously as well.
