Trek 7500FX with or without disc brakes?
My first first post as a new cyclist!
My dilemma:
I was originally going to get a 2005 Trek 7500FX with standard brakes. The best price I found was for $650 at a LBS. I then managed to find the same 2005 7500FX with disc brakes on sale for $600 at another LBS and bought it. If it was not on sale, it would have been $700. It is a special order from both shops so I am buying sight unseen (but I have rode the 7300FX).
Question ...
According to the Trek catalog, both versions come with Bontrager Select wheels. A cyclist on another thread said he did not get paired spoke wheels with his disk brakes and instread got a heavier standard lace wheel. What am I going to end up with? Should I cancel the special order and pay $50 more for standard brakes?
