New steel framesets of similar design & quality will easily set you back more than twice that much without even a headset, and well-cared-for steel is just as good after 25 years as when brand new. Trek made some really nice brazed/lugged frames > 20 years ago. I'd happily pay $335 for the frameset alone if it were my size & in good shape.
