I'd suggest you fix it. You should be able to have the threads repaired with a Helicoil insert for about $20 and the repaired threads will be stronger than the originals. Any competent machine shop should be able to do the job easily and quickly.

Then grease the pedal threads and torque them adequately; inadequate torque is a frequent cause of stripped crankarm threads.
