One part of the solution is more people riding bicycles and many less using single occupant cars

If you live in an area that can get to higher levels of particle pollution use the NOAA’s air quality site and get daily info and/or email alerts for your area. Unfortunately funding cuts may mean it’s no longer around in a few more months so you’ll then have to find another air quality index forecast for your area and one that doesn’t rely on NOAA’s guidance

the air in a car sitting in rush hour is worse than the (extra) air you get exercising outside.
Doesn’t the air recirculation function in cars help with that?
