I'm currently debating whether to put 400$ down to get in "queue" for a Sachs, so this is interesting to me
comparing a sachs to colnago/pinarello/_insert 'italian mystique' brand here_ seems silly
anyways, the link below seems reasonable--corrosion ISN'T a given, especially on a frame like this (that was probably baby'd)

you also have to figure in the 3 1/2 year wait for a sachs, yeah 2,000$ is a lot especially for a 20 yr old frame (if that's even true), but you get it "right now" and it is a
collectible, whether you need to restore it or not (I'm sure Richard would sell the decals and J Bell who paints sachs would probably repaint it)
anyways, interesting stuff--thanks for the link
