Bike looks good, I like the new Absolute line since they changed the geometry to a slightly more upright position. Prior to 2011 or 2012 it was a true flat-bar road bike which I'm not a fan of. The key to getting a decent ride quality is not to run the tire pressure too high. The specs say the bike comes with 700x28 tires so, depending on your weight, I'd run 70-75psi front and 80-85psi rear (many bike shops over-inflate tires). Of course you can always install 700x32 or 700x35 tires inflated to a lower pressure to further improve the ride quality.

BTW, the bike looks so similar to the Trek FX line it wouldn't surprise me to find out it's built in the same factory. Trek's Asian built frames are supposedly manufactured for them by Giant.
