I live in Southern California; wildfires are sort of a way of life here. A couple of times they have come close to my place, but I have been spared.

I remember reading your posts about losing your home after the fires. That brought home the point that although we may live in different parts of the world we are still subject to the same forces of nature.

I hope your sister is OK.
