Good to hear that your happy with your HID light solo. I was VERY tempted to try the homebrew approach with the battery space HID and I'm gonna homebrew this one a little with a LiOn battery pack and probably the controller/regulator that they use with the batt space one as it supplies a regulated 12.9V to the HID... increases the light output and makes it whiter as well and the 12.9V is within the designed range of the bulb. I am also gonna amp up my 6 volt light to 12V bulbs with 14.4V batts.... I like light and tinkering LOL.... I'm a little bummed after reading your review of the flare... but I'll take the thing apart and re-engineer it if necessary... for 12 bucks I can't go wrong on it.
