Ex, saw some photos of you on FB and it looked like you were crushing souls or whatever it is you call it. It also looked like the fields were reasonably large.

Vance, were you there too?

Brief rant (in Ex's thread). Jan 13th is way too early to start the season. As Ex noted, these races counted for the SoCal Cup. Since the last weekend of racing in SoCal was essentially the 2nd week of September, everyone is anxious to race after a 4 month break. And since a lot of people keep going to these early races, the promoters keep doing them and starting them earlier in the year. If you look at this year's schedule, it's packed from now through June, in July it starts tapering off, and we're done on September 7th. IMHO, the weather in SoCal is a lot better in September and October than it is in January and February. Why not align SoCal a bit better with the rest of the country? Heck, our official season start is earlier than the WorldTour (or whatever it's called this year) which starts next week in Australia during their summer. OK, I feel better now.
