Are brakes in general meant to be serviceable? I pulled apart a brakeset once and the set screw that keeps the pivot screws in place messed up the threads. Even though I loosened the set screw it felt like it was grinding away at the threads of the brake-arm as I was taking it out. I can't imagine that can be done too many times before the screws just don't hold anymore.
