i have a mid 80's bottecchia that i did something similar. just almost a verticle angle stem and a rounded bar, very comfortable ride. want a basket as well, just ddn't want a $20 wald on this italian ride. gong to make a unique one with different lines and a bit smaller. being in socal and very lse to the beach, your always carrying something, like a LOCK, cup of joe and maybe a paper.
