The Sprint gruppo was 1 step below Superbe Pro. Sprint components were produced to compete with 600/Ultegra. The Sprint 9000 RD were indexed while the early Sprint RDs weren't. However, I have an early Sprint and it index shifts great with the Sprint/Superbe Pro index DT shifters. I have bikes with 105, Sprint, Sprint 9000 and 600/Ultegra. In my opinion it is a toss-up between Sprint 9000 and 600/Ultegra as the best. I don't think 105 comes close even to the old Sprint.

They seem like similar value bikes to me...and any difference is probably made up by condition improvement.

I'd swap for a bike that fit better.
