I noticed on my last ride that my Shimano XT hrydraulic disc brakes seem to have gone soft. By that I mean that I have to pull the lever more to brake, and the brakes seem to be less powerful. I think the two possible causes are either worn brake pads or air or water in the brake lines. I haven't done any maintenance on the brakes since I first set them up over a year ago, but I haven't been riding that much. Any other suggestions before I buy new pads and/or bleed the brakes?
