Mildly Bent Front Fork on Raleigh Sports

Hi, I recently hit a pothole in the dark while riding my 74 Raleigh Sports. After inspecting I believe that I bent my front fork a bit. My inspection basically was to check the centering of the top of the wheel between the fork blades. The wheel favored the rider's righthand side of fork. I took the bike over to a local shop to have it fixed, believing they can straighten such things. They told me they would call if there were any problems or if the fork would have to be replaced. What do you think are the odds they're going to call me? Do bike shops still do steel fork blade straightening? Or should I start looking for a replacement Raleigh fork?
