truing me wheels.

ok, so i bought a spoke wrench due to the horrible squeaking my wheel was making by hitting the frame. using zinn's book i was able to get it to stop rubbing the frame, but it still wobbles horribly. so, after reading the park tools site, ive got some questions. do i really need to lube the spokes/nipples? and then, should i continue from where the wheel is most out of true and work out from that spot. im using the frame as my truing stand.

any advice, for a first time wheel truer would be greatly appreciated.
