Which probably explains why GP has problems on the old rims and Beanz doesn't. Although I too have noticed the first time I mounted a GP4000s to an A23 rim, it was by no means easy. Once the tire was ridden in and taken on and off a couple time, it has stretched enough, though it still needs a bit of effort. FWIW, I use Velocity's Veloplugs instead of rim tape, so I have a little wiggle room.
